Abstract

Ever since their very beginning, the relations between the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom (UK) were never unproblematic. This has not changed a lot since the start of the UK’s membership of the EC in 1973. The present edited volume is a contribution to the Brexit (British exit from the EU) debate and a product of the vivid academic interest the issue has attracted.
