Muhasebe Meslek Mensupları Ve Tükenmişlik Sendromu: Bir Uygulama

Abstract

Muhasebe, doğası gereği yoğun mevzuatın uygulanması gereken, görev ve sorumlulukların zaman kısıtıyla yerine getirildiği; bu bağlamda çok titiz ve dikkatli çalışmayı gerektiren bir meslektir. Muhasebe meslek mensuplarının tükenmişliğinin olası sonuçları işletmelerde büyük maddi kayıpları da beraberinde getirebilir. Bu doğrultuda Kocaeli SMMMO'ya kayıtlı muhasebe meslek mensuplarının cinsiyet, medeni hal, yaş, eğitim ve gelir düzeyi gibi demografik özellikleri ve mesleki deneyim süresi, çalışma şekli ve sahip olduğu unvan gibi iş hayatına ilişkin özelliklerinin tükenmişlik düzeylerinde fark yaratıp yaratmadığı incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Örneklemden toplanan veriler üzerinde yapılan analizler sonucunda; cinsiyet, medeni hal değişkeni ile tükenmişlik seviyesinde anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı; buna karşın yaş, eğitim, gelir düzeyi, mesleki deneyim süresi, çalışma şekli ve sahip olunan unvanın tükenmişlik seviyesinde istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı farklılıklar yarattığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Accounting is a profession which naturally requires application of intense legislation, in which the duties and responsibilities are conducted in a limited time, and therefore which urges very meticulous and careful working. The possible results of the burnout of accounting professionals can result in big losses for the corporations. The study conducted in this regard aims to investigate whether the demographic characteristics of accounting professionals registered in Kocaeli SMMMO (Chamber of Certified Public Accountants) such as gender, marital status, age, education and income level and the professional life related characteristics such as years of occupational experience, type of working and the owned title make a difference on the level of burnout. As a consequence of the analysis conducted on the data collected from the sample, it was concluded that there was no significant difference on the burnout level with regards to gender, marital status variables while age, education, income level, years of occupational experience, type of working, and the owned title causes statistically significant differences on the level of burnout.
