| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırmada, "7.sınıf sosyal bilgiler dersinde tarihsel empati etkinliklerinin akademik başarıya, kalıcılığa ve derse karşı tutuma etkisi" incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 21'i deney grubu 21'i kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 42 yedinci sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Akademik başarı testi ve sosyal bilgiler tutum ölçeğinden elde edilen nicel bulgular, SPSS 18 veri analiz programıyla çözümlenmiştir. Tarihsel empati etkinlikleri hakkındaki öğrenci görüşleri içerik analizi yapılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın nicel sonuçlarına göre, deney ve kontrol grubu son test akademik başarı puan ortalamaları arasında deney grubu lehine istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık elde edilmiştir. Bununla beraber deney ve kontrol grubu son test sosyal bilgiler dersi tutum puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık elde edilmemiştir. Deney ve kontrol grubunda yer alan öğrencilerin kalıcılık testi puanlarının karşılaştırılması sonucunda ise deney grubu lehine istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın nitel sonuçlarına göre ise, öğrencilerin genel olarak tarihsel empati etkinliklerini beğendikleri ve sosyal bilgiler dersinde tarihsel empati etkinliklerinin kullanılmasında istekli oldukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Tarihsel Empati, Empati, Tarih Eğitimi, Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi, Öğrenme kalıcılığı "The effect of historical empathy activities in social studies course at 7th grade on academic achievement, permanence, and attitude towards the course" was examined in this research. 42 students at 7th grade, 21 of whom were in the experimental group and 21 of whom were in control group, constituted the study group of the study. The quantitative findings, which were obtained from academic achievement test and social studies attitude scale, were analysed through the SPSS 18 data analysis program. The opinions of the students about historical empathy activities were evaluated by conducting content analysis. According to the quantitative results of the research, a statistically significant difference in favour of the experimental was observed between the post-test academic achievement score means of the experimental and control group. However, there was no significant difference between the post-test social studies course attitude scores of the experimental and control groups. A statistically significant difference in favour of the experimental group was obtained as a result of comparing the permanence test scores of the students in the experimental and control groups. According to the qualitative results of the research, it was concluded that the students liked historical empathy activities in general and that they were willing to use the historical empathy activities in social studies course.
