Astım ve tüberküloz hastalarım sosyodemografik özelliklerinin, depresyon ve anksiyete düzeylerinin karşılaştırılması.

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmada göğüs hastalıkları hastanesinde yatışı olan astım ve tüberküloz hastalarının sosyodemografik özelliklerini, depresyon ve anksiyete düzeylerini saptamak amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Bu çalışmada ardışık 33 astım ve 33 tüberküloz hastası sosyodemografik özellikleri, beck depresyon ölçeği ve durumluluk süreklilik anksiyete envanteri ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Astım grubunun yaş ortalaması 65¢ yıl ve tüberküloz grubunun 41¢ 15 yıldı (p: 0.001). Astım grubunun tamamı evli olup, tüberküloz grubunun 60'ının evli olduğunu bulundu (p: 0.001). Depresyon astım hastalarında 27 ve tüberküloz hastalarında 15 oranında saptandı. (p: 0.2). Beck depresyon toplam puanları; astım hastalarında 16¢ ve tüberküloz hastalarında 13¢ idi (p: 0.2). Astım hastalarında durumluluk ve sürekli anksiyete şiddeti 39¢ 8, 43¢ (p:0.3) ve tüberküloz hastalarında 36¢ 9, 43¢ 10 olarak saptandı (p: 0.9). Beck depresyon puanları ile Durumluluk Anksiyete (r: 0.47, p: 0.001) ve Sürekli Anksiyete Puanları (r: 0.64, p:0.001) arasında anlamlı düzeyde bağlantı (korelasyon) saptandı. Durumluluk anksiyete ve sürekli anksiyete puanları arasında da anlamlı düzeyde bağlantı (korelasyon) mevcuttu (r: 0.56, p: 0.001). Sonuç: Yataklı ünitedeki astım hastalarmın yaşları anlamlı yüksek, ekonomik durumları düşüktü. Tüberküloz grubunun medeni durumunun bekar olması ise anlamlı yüksekti. Astım ve tüberkülozda depresyon ve anksiyete düzeyleri benzerdi. Depresyon düzeyleri ile şimdiki ve sürekli kaygı durumları birbirleri ile bağlantılı bulundu.

Aim: In the present study we aimed to compare sociodemografic features, levels of anxiety and depression among inpatients with asthma and tuberculosis in chest disease hospital. Methods: Thirty three asthma and thirty three tuberculosis patients were assessed by the Spielberger state-trait anxiety scale, the Beck Depression Inventory and the sociodemografic features. Results: The mean ages of asthma and tuberculosis patients were 65¢ and 41¢ 15 years old, respectively (p: 0.001). All patients were married in asthma group and 60 of patients were married in tuberculosis group (p: 0.001). Depression were founded in 27 of asthma patients and 15 tuberculosis patients. (p: 0.2). Beck Depression total scores were 16¢ in asthma and 13¢ in tuberculosis patients (p: 0.2). States and Trait anxiety scores were 39¢ 8, 43¢ in patients with asthma (p:0.3) and 36¢ 9, 43¢ 10 in patients with tuberculosis (p: 0.9). Significant correlations were founded with beck depression scores and states (r: 0.47, p: 0.001) and trait (r: 0.64, p: 0.001) anxiety inventory scores. Also significant correlations were founded with states and trait anxiety inventory scores. Conclusion: Patients with asthma were significantly older age and lower economic status than tuberculosis patients. Patients with single were significantly higher in tuberculosis. Depression and anxiety levels were similar and depression levels were correlated with states and trait anxiety levels in asthma and tuberculosis.
