Yaratıcı drama ile canlılar dünyasına yolculuk

Abstract

Bu araştırmada 3.sınıf ‘Canlılar Dünyasına Yolculuk’ ünitesinin yaratıcı drama yöntemiyle işlenmesi sürecinde öğrencilerin fen bilimleri dersi ile yaratıcı drama yöntemine yönelik görüşlerine, fen bilimleri dersi başarılarındaki değişime ve fen bilimleri dersine yönelik ilgilerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada tek gruplu deneysel desen yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin elde edilmesinde 14 açık uçlu sorudan oluşan fen bilimleri anket formu, başarı testi, 6 maddeden oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme soruları, uygulama süreci ile ilgili öğretmen görüşü ve yansıtıcı günlükler kullanılmıştır. Araştırma Muş ili merkezinde bulunan bir devlet okulunun, 3. sınıfta öğrenim gören 27 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Uygulamanın sonunda çalışmaya katılan gönüllü 7 öğrenci ile görüşme yapılmıştır. Ön test-son testlerin analizinde öğrencilerin ön test-son test puanları karşılaştırılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda ön test-son test sonuçları incelendiğinde, yaratıcı drama yönteminin öğrencilerde fen bilimleri dersi başarısını istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde artırdığı görülmüştür. Öğrenciler yaratıcı drama yöntemi ile ders işlemekten zevk aldıkları, eğlenerek öğrendikleri, fen bilimleri dersine karşı ilgilerinin arttığı şeklinde görüş belirtmişlerdir. Araştırma sonuçlarından yola çıkarak yaratıcı drama yönteminin fen bilimleri dersinde kullanılmasına yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.

This study investigated the effects of creative drama method on students' views about science lesson taught with creative drama method, students' success change in science lesson, and their interest in the lesson as a result of teaching the science unit "Into the World of Living Things" as a part of the elementary 3rd grade curriculum. Single-group experimental design was used as study method. The study data were obtained by using various instruments including a science questionnaire consisting of 14 open-ended questions, an achievement test, a semi-structured interview questions consisting of 6 items, teachers' views, and reflective diaries related to the procedure. The study was conducted with 27 students attending the third grade in a public school in the central district of Muş province in the east of Turkey. At the end of the study, interviews were held with 7 students who participated on a voluntary basis. In analysis of pre-post test analysis, students' pre and posttest scores were compared. Pre-post test results revealed that creative drama method increased the students' achievement levels in science lesson significantly. The students stated that they enjoyed learning with creative drama method and had fun learning, and their interest in science lesson increased as a result. As a result, recommendations were listed regarding use of creative drama method in teaching of science lesson.
