Ortaokul öğrencilerinin okuduğunu anlamada özetleme stratejilerini kullanma becerilerinin değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada ortaokul öğrencilerinin okuduğunu anlamada özetleme stratejilerini kullanma becerileri incelenmiştir. Nitel yaklaşıma uygun olarak desenlenen çalışmada, doküman inceleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu Rize ili Çayeli ilçesindeki iki devlet okulunun 5, 6, 7 ve 8. sınıflarında öğrenim gören 380 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Öğrencilerden elde edilen özetler, araştırmacılar tarafından ilgili literatür taranarak belirlenen dokuz maddelik bir form kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Veriler, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden içerik analizi kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda ortaokul öğrencilerinin hikâye edici ve bilgilendirici metinleri özetlerken en çok özgün metinden kısa olma ve başlık koyma stratejilerini kullandıkları tespit edilmiştir

In this study, summarizing skills of secondary school students were examined. Document analysis method was used in the design which is designed according to qualitative approach. The study group of study consisted of 380 students studying in 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th classes of two state schools in the district of Rize, Çayeli. The summaries from the students were examined by the researchers using a nine-item form, which was determined by searching the relevant literature. The data were analyzed using content analysis from qualitative research methods. As a result of the research, it was determined that middle school students summarize storytelling and informative texts and most of them use short texts and titling strategies
