Reşat Nuri Güntekin’in “Aşk Mektupları” adlı öyküsüne metin dilbilimsel bir yaklaşım

Abstract

Geleneksel dil bilgisinde cümle, en üst düzey dil birimi olarak kabul edilmiş; bu anlayış, 1960'lı yıllardan sonra gelişen metin dilbilimle değişmeye başlamıştır. Metin çözümlemede cümlenin tek başına yetersiz kaldığı anlaşılarak metin dilbilimin ilkeleri temel alınmaya başlamıştır. Bu bağlamda metin dilbilim, bir metni kendi içinde ve kendisi için incelemeyi seçmiş; metni oluşturan yapılar ve bu yapılar arasındaki ilişkileri sorgulamıştır. Metin; bildirişim temeline dayanan, sözlü veya yazılı dil ürünüdür. Yazılı bir metin, cümlelerin art arda sıralandığı bir yapı olmayıp yazarın bilinçli seçimleri sonucunda oluşturulmuştur. Bağdaşıklık ve tutarlılık, bu yapının vazgeçilmez ölçütleridir. Metin, "dilsel bütünlük" olmasını büyük ölçüde bu iki ögeye borçludur. Bu çalışmada, öyküleri metin dilbilimsel yöntemle incelemenin olanaklı ve işlevsel olduğunu ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla; TAV Yayını 8. Sınıf Türkçe Ders Kitabı'ndaki Aşk Mektupları adlı metnin, metin dilbilim açısından taşıdığı değer sorgulanmaya çalışılmıştır. incelemesinden yararlanılan çalışmada; metni oluşturan cümleler numaralandırılmış, bu cümlelerin kendi içinde ve birbiriyle ilişkisi, derin yapıdaki rolü ayrıntılı olarak saptanmıştır

In traditional grammar, sentence had been adopted as the highest level unit of language, and this mentality began to change after the 1960s with the development of text linguistics. It has been found out that the sentence itself is inadequate in text analysis and the principles of text linguistics have been adopted. Within this context, text linguistics singled out to analyze a text within and for it and examined the structures that form the text and the relations among them. The text is a verbal or written language product that is based on communication. A written text is not a structure in which the sentences are successively but it is formed as a result of the author’s informed choices. Cohesion and coherence are indispensable criteria of this structure. The text owes its “linguistic integrity” to these two elements. It is aimed to reveal that it is possible and functional to examine stories with the method of text linguistics. For this purpose, the value of the Love Letters text in TAV Publication 8th Class Turkish Textbook was attempted to be questioned in terms of text linguistic. In this study the descriptive survey and document analysis were utilized, the sentences forming the text were numbered, and the relations among and within those sentences and their roles in the deep structure were identified in detail. The Love Letters story was analyzed in three sections. In the description section, the text was discussed in terms of genre and content; in the analysis section, the cohesion and coherence aspects of the text were examined; and in the interpretation section evaluations were carried out with reference to the data obtained from the study. As a result of the study, it was concluded that it would be functional to utilize the opportunities of text linguistics in the analysis of narrative texts
