Abese'nin muhatabı kimdir? (Abdullah B. Ümmü Mektûm olayı)

Abstract

Müfessirler, Abese sûresinin sebeb-i nüzûlüne dair bilgileri dikkate alarak Abese ve Tevellâ'nın muhatabının Abdullah b. Ümmü Mektûm'a karşı sergilemiş olduğu tavrından dolayı Hz. Peygamber olduğu görüşündedirler. Günümüz araştırmacılarından bazıları, yüz ekşitip sırt çevirmeyi Hz. Peygamber'e yakıştıramadıkları için, muhatabın Resûlullah olmadığını belirtmektedirler. Temel tefsir kaynakları ise, böyle bir kınamanın Resûlullah'ın yüce ahlâka sahip olmasını zedelemediğini ve Allah katındaki değerine de halel getirmediğini vurgulamaktadır. Gerçekten de Kur'ân'da ahlâkından övgüyle bahsedilen Hz. Peygamber'in yöneltilen bir sorudan dolayı yüzünü ekşitmesi ve sırt çevirmesi, onun üstün insanî vasıflarında ve peygamberliğinde bir eksiklik meydana getirir mi? Bu makale, Abese'nin muhatabının kim olduğunu Arap dilinin incelikleri ve mantık kuralları çerçevesinde açıklamaya çalışmaktadır.

Commentators, regarding the revelation reasons of the surah Abese consider that the addressee of Abese ve tevella is the Prophet due to the attitude he displayed towards Abdullah b. Ummu Mektum. Some of the today's scholars state that the addressee is not the Prophet because they cannot associate grimacing and turning his back with Him. Main commentary sources, on the other hand, emphasize that such a condemnation does not harm the Prophet's noble morality nor does it causes a damage to His value in the presence of Allah. Does the Prophet's grimacing and turning his back due to a question addressed to him really cause a defect in his superior human qualities and his prophethood? This paper tries to explain who is the addressee of Abese within the frame of details of the Arabic language and logical rules.
