İlkokul 3. Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Yenilenen Fen Bilimleri Dersine İlişkin Görüşleri

Abstract

ÖZ Çalışmanın amacı, fen bilimleri dersinin ilkokul 3.sınıfta verilmeye başlanılmasının olumlu veya olumsuz etkileri, öğretmenlerin bu konudaki beklentileri ve karşılaştıkları güçlükler ile ilgili sınıf öğretmenlerin görüşlerini belirlemektir. Çalışma nitel araştırma deseni olan olgu bilim deseninde yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini Artvin ili, Murgul ve Borçka ilçesindeki merkez ilkokullarda çalışan on dört ilkokul 3.sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Yenilenen fen bilimleri dersine ilişkin görüşleri tespit etmek amacıyla öğretmenlerle yarı yapılandırılmış mülakatlar yürütülmüştür. Mülakatlardan elde edilen verilerin içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda, Fen bilimleri dersinin ilkokul 3.sınıflara alınmasının öğrencilere ve öğretmenlere olumlu katkılar sağlayacağı görülmektedir. Ancak öğretmenlerin laboratuar kullanımında bilgi eksikliği, kılavuz kitabın ve çalışma kitabının olmaması, araç-gereç eksikliği, pekiştirme amaçlı etkinliklerin olmaması gibi güçlüklerle karşılaştıkları belirlenmiştir. Bu anlamda iyi hazırlanmış kılavuz kitap ve çalışma kitapları bu eksikliklerinin gidermede etkili olacağı düşünülmektedir.

The aim of the present study is to determine classroom teachers’ opinions towards positive and negative aspects, teacher expectations and difficulties that teachers have about the altered science course and that it is started to be offered in third grade level. The study was conducted with phenomenology design, which is one of the qualitative study patterns. The sample of the study was determined as 14 primary school third grade classroom teachers working in central schools in Mugrul and Borcka towns of Artvin province. The fourteen classroom teachers were interviewed with semi-structured interviews. The formed data set were analyzed with content analysis, which is a technique categorizing the text with pre-determined codes and explanation of systemically repeated expressions it was determined that the teachers also face with difficulties such as; lackinformation about using laboratories, absence of a guide book and workbook, insufficient material and tool, absence of consolidation activities and etc.Accordingly, it is considered that developing elaborate guide and workbooks will have significant effect on overcoming the weaknesses of the course. of
