Abstract: The Anatolian banded newt is an endemic amphibian species to the western and northern parts of Türkiye. The present study provides the new locality records of Ommatotriton nesterovi, which constitutes the species’ easternmost known locality. With the record of the current study, the known distribution area of the species has been extended about 70 km eastward. Moreover, morphological comparisons were made between individuals from these two new localities and individuals from other regions.en_US
