Peripheral arterial embolism due to involvement of the aortic arch with hydatid cyst

Abstract

We report a hydatid cyst involving the arcus aortae that presented as a peripheral arterial embolus of unknown aetiology. In this case report, clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of the disease are discussed along with a brief review of current literature.
