Supercritical conversion of biomass

Abstract

The focus of this chapter is biomass conversion in the supercritical water. the two main processes of the supercritical conversion of biomass are the supercritical water gasification and the supercritical water oxidation. Some issues related to the supercritical water gasification e.g. the water-gas shift reaction under the supercritical conditions, catalysts in the supercritical processes and corrosion of the supercritical water, are also included.
